Fuck me, we're scraping the barrel.
Even Bilic doesn't trust him, and there's a manager paid to judge players and has played Tore, Zaza and Calleri well beyond their merit.

I would imagine that we will look to farm him out on loan next season, along with Oxford. Burke will stand a better chance of being part of the squad I feel.

The loan system could be good for any of these players, but do we think they have any opportunity at West Ham?
We don't call completely shit players up for Eire so he must be at least 'good'. So why send him on loan? He won't get better coaching and certainly not better matches. The cynic in me says it's just to increase their sales value.

Thought he looked good in his brief cameo on sunday
Would rather push him or Burke (or both) and axe Fonte in the summer
3 senior centre backs with two youngsters pressing for a spot and getting game time in the league cup sounds good

He's only just turned 18 and plays CB - it's a tough position for integrating a new young player into first team PL football. Any mistakes and it's likely to be a chance, goal or red card.
When he came on, Slav put him as CDM, rather than straight into the back 3.

I like the fact that he took the train back from Burnley with his family and the fans, as opposed to the team coach full of seasoned internationals.

Indeed, most young CBs are blooded at fullback, or in this case just in front of the defence, just to give them some first team football without being too much in the firing line. Should be a tad easier if we continue to play 3 at the back though.

I am guessing someone that is Born in England, lived in England most of their life, has both parents born in England and has one Irish grandparent.
John Aldridge, Jason Mcateer etc I would consider English but played for Ireland.
Not sure about Rice and Cullen though.

The INTERNET says both Rice's grandparents are Irish. Some have him actually born in Ireland, others in England.
